Boarding without a flight
Most Israelis who cruise do it from a European port after a flight. But in season (roughly April–November) some sailings leave directly from Haifa's passenger terminal — arrive by train or taxi, board, no airport. That saves a travel day each way and the cost of the flight.
Who sails from Haifa
The main ones are MSC (an Italian line, gentle prices, a European feel) and Celestyal (a Greek line specialising in short Greek-isle routes). Typical itineraries: 3–4 nights to Cyprus and the Cyclades, or 7 nights that add Rhodes, Crete and sometimes Istanbul.
Getting to the terminal
Haifa's passenger terminal is in the city centre, next to "Haifa Center HaShmona" railway station — Israel Railways reaches it from across the country. A taxi from Ben Gurion is about 1h15. No pre-cruise hotel night needed if you live in the north or centre.
