Every airport with its code, location and practical info: how to get to town, airport hotels, luggage storage and pre-booked transfers.

What decides how early to arrive

For a short-haul flight within Europe, two hours is enough. For an international flight — three, and four at busy airports like Istanbul, London Heathrow or Bangkok, especially in the morning. The time goes to border control and the security queue, not check-in. Travelling with a cabin bag and the airline's app, you can trim it.

Airport to city — almost never the taxi

Big airports have a train or direct shuttle to the centre that costs a fraction of a taxi and takes about the same time. A taxi is worth it when you're a few people, arriving at night, or with kids. A pre-booked private transfer gives a fixed price and a driver waiting with a sign — best for a late arrival. Each airport page has the exact numbers.
