It was built in 1782 by the Portuguese nobleman José Luís de Moura. The palace was built in the neoclassical style with a symmetrical plan and surrounded by a walled garden. Its most striking features include the two-story façade with a pediment, the crenellated towers and the various chimneys, which are adorned with Rococo-style sculptures.
