Narita (NRT) is about 60 km east of Tokyo — far. The Narita Express (N'EX) reaches Tokyo/Shinjuku station in about 60–90 minutes (around ¥3,000, covered by the JR Pass). The Keisei Skyliner is faster to eastern Tokyo. Airport Limousine buses run straight to major hotels.

Haneda (HND) is much closer to central Tokyo — if you have a choice, HND is better. Check which airport your flight uses.
